The process of using a promotional code
The usual process of using a promotional code is to use it for online shopping. For example, you are doing your online shopping at SurfStitch. You browse through their selections of goods and click on the items that you like. Some items that you may have picked are already marked down. So, once you finish your shopping you proceed to checkout. You will be prompted to enter all your personal details and depending on the site, they usually have a box where you need to enter the coupon code. Sometimes there is one box sometimes there are several boxes because one code could mean a 20% discount and another code could mean free shipping. Further, not all discount coupons are the same, so you have to read each coupon code whether if it is applicable to your purchases. Because some codes may only be applicable to lingerie or kids clothes or just for women’s clothing and so on. So once you have finished encoding all the necessary details, you now proceed to click on the pay button and the page will refresh and show you your total discounted bill.
Conclusion
So far, that is the usual process of encoding a promo code especially for online stores. However there are places where you need not put your credit card or other financial details. Such as when using weight watchers discount all you need to encode is your email address and the code in order to avail of their recent promo which is a 2-week trial.
