3 Tips To Avoid Procrastination

A bigger number of people talk about having to deal with procrastination or blaming it for something they could have done on time but then did not. It sounds like procrastination is a good salesman - thankfully he is not addictive. He has some favourite people rather but it is not something you cannot deal with.

Know that, a tendency to procrastinate is just habit and to an extend a temporary behaviour. Behaviour change all the time.
So if you think or know that you are a big time shillyshally agent, also be aware that this habit may not necessarily be an aspect of your personality but a change in time that was not always there. Think of a time or situation when you did not give in to this precedented tendency - maybe four years ago or when you were in middle school. I don't think you plan to go on living beside a habitual lack of adherence to schedule. You know what you want and you want to get a particular task done on time - it being putting a project together, preparing for a major test or doing your own little experiment...

Here I will give you three tips of kicking that habit in the butt "lika maafaqa."

Identifying the factor

The first step of not to procrastinate again is identifying the factors that are causal to your last-minute activity affinity. Is it that you find yourself always busy - so much to do but not enough time?
Maybe you like to do your work with little planning and a zero prioritization, or you're a multitasker. Multitasking bares heavy productivity costs and believe me, it is no mathematics!

Identify that one thing which cause you to procrastinate. The identifying of this factor or factors give you an idea of what you're doing and when you're doing it i.e. It gives you a sense of intention and responsibility, the two preconditions required for the next tip; confidence.

Have confidence

Confidence is essential in everything that is important to you, in this case, everything that you're trying to do. Analogize confidence as a lubricant to your fine tuned execution of your plan. Without it, there is many questions and little answers, a code phrase for doubt is only a second away.

I don't think doubt would come alone to the party, may bring its stealthy mates; negative thoughts. Before you know it time is wasted and there's a flag of failure on your forehead or on your nose or on your ear pretending to be an ear-ring.
The reality is when you perform an activity and it turns out to be perfect at all times, you don't even have to be aware that your confidence levels were shooting to the roof. Your brain is used to that, think of a football player with his opportune moments on the field, he is pure magic that electrifies the spectators. You may call it the fruits of practice but his brain is used to that now.
For example: he becomes more confident each time he does his magic that is why he is able to execute perfection.

Balanced diet

But how can confidence lubricate the fine tuned machine that wants to do the task if it is not maintained? Perhaps you procrastinate because you are not on a balanced diet and not confidence issues. Yes, balanced diet is as important to help you avoid procastination...

Assuming you know what a balanced diet is, how you feel of the level of energy plays a role in your commitment to work. Can you effectively work out a complicated math problem, plan a party, write your assignment with a crying empty stomach? No, you can't under normal conditions. You need the energy and the feel good mood that healthy food put into you.
A balanced diet means that the body receives the nutrients that it needs for normal body processes. Take a person who is very low on iron in their system, they're sleepy, feel very tired at the end of the day and are not always feeling energetic. Iron is needed for the blood cells to carry oxygen effectively to the muscles and brain; parts of the body that work most when you're doing a demanding task physical or not. Besides getting healthy and the multitude of benefits you get when you are on balanced diet, you feel better about yourself i.e. You feel inspired to do more great things.
If it's going to be troublesome or too much for you to maintain a balanced diet then try multi-vitamin supplements. They're the next best thing.

With these three tips to curb procrastination, I promise you - you'll be on the way of improving your productivity in no time. If you succeed in identifying those contributing factors that cause you to procrastinate, you can begin by dodging them or dealing with them accordingly one by one. When you notice the difference, you'll know that you are on the right path and, in turn, this will be a major booster for your confidence bank or banker or vault or uhhm...
Anyhow, stay committed and procrastination will soon find you appalling - this is when you know you're success.
