What is a Day?

by T. Puputle

This question may sound silly and at the same time very tricky to those who may attempt to answer it and a lot of answers may arise most of them if not all depending on an individual reasoning may be considered correct.

POSSIBLE ANSWER: a day is a period time consisting of 24 HOURS. Sounds correct, however, one can criticize this by asking "what's the difference between a day and a night?"

After this question you may consider modifying your definition of a day.

Actually a night is a period of time in a day when we do not have light, meaning a day also consist of a night in it, just like when "a week consists of seven days". Good answer and a valid
reasoning.

Another criticism, what do you call the hours of a day when we have a light?
We cannot have day that is consisting of a day and a night and thus the second criticism brings us back to my question what is a day?

Happy writes: Valid points. Conclusively, a day is a unit of time just like an hour, minute or second, except they all have different values or volumes of time segment.
