Another mixed day in the markets. Most of the day was spent around the unchanged area. However, small caps were positive on the day. The Dow and the S & P's were were neutral most of the day. Indexes are sitting on very important moving averages. The next day or two will give us clues to the direction the markets want to take.

Alex Rodriguez, Zack Greinke, Lakers, Magic
...
As a reflection on the NBA playoffs, some thoughts:
1. Stan Van Gundy's assertion that experience does not matter has to be one of the most lamentable statements ushered within the sports world that I have heard in a long time. Anyone who has played sports knows otherwise. It is much easier to handle a situation if you have seen it before, than if it's your first time being exposed to it. Just ask Phil Jackson, or Red Auerbach or Vince Lombardi. Stan, wanna take this statement back?
2. Rotation disruption - Jameer Nelson's return disrupted team chemistry. Sure it's 'his' team, and he wants to feel his play and presence could make an impact. But Jameer is not Willis Reed. Anthony Johnson and Rafer Alston has to be seething over their roles during this series. Jameer should only have been bought back if he could CLEARLY help the team. I did not see that in this series.
Overall, The Magic had a season they can be proud of, returning to the finals will be no easy task, but it sure will be fun getting trying.

There is going to be a change in focus in this blog, I love trading and I love sports, soooo, why not combine the two?
Yeay that's it. Flyde's Wrld: A blog about Money and Sports is being born.
If you go back into the archives, you can see one of my earlier posts was during the St. Pete Devil Rays run to the World Series. Florida must be hot, now we have the Orlando Magic competing for the NBA Championship.
GO MAGIC!!!!

Got em!!!
I am connected again!!!
Got new batteries, flashed device.
WOW, what a piece of electronics, I'm learning linux, this box opens a world of possibilities.
I like the concept of have a portable device connected to my phone, an Audiovox SMT5600, for internet work (i.e. email, web access, radio, chat, etc.), the N800 is better than any phone browser that I have seen.
Ask yourself this question, would you want a big screen tv with an integrated dvd player, or would you rather separate components?
Me, keep them separate.

Trend lines broken on major indexes, near major resistance levels, technicals declining.
Is this the beginning of a larger move down?
I think so. Remember the adage "Sell in May, and go away"? Past history is no precursor to future performance, however...........It doesn't hurt to keep it in the back of your mind.
