What Was She Thinking?!

Resolve and Courage

,

This guy's fight is amazing. It illustrates the resilience of the human spirit, the resolve, the desire to overcome obstacles. I am in awe.

As you can see toward the beginning of the movie, he's a T-6/7. This means his spinal cord injury starts at the 6th or 7th thoracic vertebrae. (Robert is a T-11.) This guy (Romeo Wittman, a Romanian athlete) at least had the positive factors of youth and extremely good physical conditioning to help him with his rehabilitation. Even so, what he's been able to do is, to me, a very amazing and positive thing, and I hope it can inspire Robert to try a bit harder.

The key to Romeo's success, I believe, is that he got his balance back; this is something Robert has not been able to do. Every time they'd try to stand him up at TIRR, he'd panic and his blood pressure would go through the roof.
