It seems like my prediction about the end of Major and my confirmation on that was true after all...

It has been a long and great six years of the series running and another 10 years for the manga, but sadly all good things come to an end and Major shall too.

Not very long ago, the end of the Major manga was announced and the end of the Major anime followed with the announcement of a Major OVA which shall tie the end of the anime and the end of the manga together. It will be very sad to part from Major for everyone including myself that have loved the baseball series. But, it's time to move on and maybe sometime in the near future, we will get to see many more other baseball anime similar to Major.

Officially, the manga and anime are expected to end in the month of December... In other news, NHK, the broadcaster will likely replace the Major time-slot with their new anime based on the manga of the same name, Bakuman (from the creators of Death Note) OR Rita et Machin, another new anime.

That's all I have to say. I went through an argument with the Major Ja Nai staff about this issue and came out victorious with this news.

I thought the anime would end with Season 5, but it seems the creators just wanted to end the anime the same way as the manga, so since the manga is expected to end, so shall the anime.
