Shared Solitude

A soothing voice, a rocking chair, a mother's arms, a book of poems, an empty room, A now contented child rests the moment, within his mother's love filled cocoon.
All this world is theirs, all this moment is theirs, this solitude belongs to them.
May all his life become so nurtured, as this mother’s love is shared for him.
A babbling stream, a cool, dry boulder, the sounds of the forest, a want to be alone.
A then peer, shamed boy seeks solace at this shaded place, a long walk from home.
With his knees in his arms, with his hurt in his heart, he prays for no more pain.
Then feels the peace of prayer, realizing in this moment, Life has shared gain.
A Couple’s spring walk, hand in hand and feet on petals, a blossum scented air.
An empty path, a well, placed bench, Lover’s arms seeking for the moments care.
All they have within their hearts and minds is that “I Love you” attitude.
The two have come, to their favorite park, for their moment of Shared Solitude.
It seems, I cannot share my Love for Her, until we both can just be alone.
A place where my heart can bond the moment, as we tell the world be gone.
Our words can be said, our emotions can be felt, our aloneness warms to gratitude.
Where the Two becomes as one, and their Love becomes as Shared Solitude.
