Update for AdBlocker.css is up, with thanks to M.Niess (<http://blog.yumdap.net/archives/30-My-recent-Opera-tweaks.html>).
As usual get it from <http://members.chello.nl/b.kroonspecker/opera/styles/user/AdBlocker.css>

Hi Jor, I think I've found a good one. I first noticed it on a particular newspaper site I frequent (www.oregonlive.com), but I later noticed that there's a whole series of sites that use that same format and are run by the same company (www.advance.net/index.ssf?/advance_internet/newspapers.html).
Might it be one fix to rule them all? If not, don't worry about it, I'll take any advice on just fixing oregonlive.com, but it's an intriguing possibility.
The ads are particularly offensive, since they come right in the middle of articles -- and on every page of the article. For example:
http://www.oregonlive.com/special/measure37/index.ssf?/base/exclude/111865686371170.xml&coll=7
Now, I have noticed that on some of the other affilated sites (at that advance.net link above) the ads are collapsed, so it does work sometimes for some reason. Like this one:
http://www.nj.com/hssports/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1119853840230300.xml&coll=1
But more often than not it doesn't work and they look like this:
http://www.pennlive.com/hssports/expresstimes/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1121072744156600.xml&coll=2
Note that these sites require a zip code and DOB to get into, but you can enter anything, like 90210 for a ZIP or whatever.
Thanks

Yes, I hope adblocker continues to be updated as well, since v9 surprisingly offers no pre-built solution. It does have that Block Content feature, but who has the patience to tinker with that for every site you visit (particularly since it needs to be used for every single ad variation, an endless prospect).
