Vacuum chamber Spic And Span Floors With A Robot Vacuum Cleaner

, ,

Of all the routine tasks which have to be done everyday, vacuuming is the most brain-numbing! How often have you caught yourself wishing this task away? You can now own a robot slave that does the floors for you! These futuristic floor robot vacuum cleaners justify the statement: "The future is now!"

The robot floor cleaner is programmed to vacuum the floors of your house completely unsupervised. Control and command is implemented locally via a hand held command unit, or remotely via other technologies like wireless Internet access and cellular mobile networks.

The floor cleaning robot uses the latest robotic techniques and logic to perform its job. It sees the dirt on the floor or the carpet and determines how many passes it should make over that area. The models that are available now are pretty small, deliberately so, so that they can go under beds and settees.

The special feature of the robot floor vacuum cleaner is that it does its work unsupervised. Why is that special? You don't have to be on hand to guide it around the room, avoiding the furniture. The robot is armed with high tech sensors which tell it when to stop at a wall or to work its way around a chair which wasn't there yesterday. A low-end model has mechanical sensors which signal the robot to stop only after they contact the obstacle. Such a robot should be equipped with rubber bumpers to prevent damage to delicate objects which may come in the way of the robot when it is doing its work.

The floor-cleaning robots do an almost perfect job of cleaning the floor, leaving it spick and span. They generally do suffer from an inability to clean really tight areas, especially at the edges of wall and floor boundaries, and the corners of the room. Those areas will have to be handled manually for the present.

Other areas of weakness are stairs and fringed rugs. The present models cannot negotiate stairs. They cannot "understand" that the carpet fringe will get sucked up in the vacuum and cause them to stall. No doubt these problems will be addressed by robot manufacturers in the near future.

The robot floor vacuum cleaners work well on all floors. They don't baulk at a little liquid on the floor. They are great at picking up hair, lint, small pieces of paper and cloth just like a regular vacuum cleaner.

The robots work off built-in rechargeable battery supplies. When the charge gets depleted an audio-visual alarm prompts you to recharge the robot's battery. Some models release you from this task as well, returning by themselves to a charging station for a recharge. The price of the robots varies according to the features they sport. The price can range all the way from affordable to way-too-high-for-me!

The robot takes over the boring task of vacuuming for you, and lets you devote your precious time to more important functions, like looking after someone ill in the family or preparing the day's meals. Be warned that the robot floor vacuum cleaner actually takes quite a lot of time in cleaning the floor! If you need the floor cleaned in a jiffy, then you'd better do it yourself.

The robot floor vacuum cleaner can't empty itself; this has to be done manually. You will definitely appreciate the freedom from the single chore that is the biggest headache in your routine. So get a robot and do something more creative while the floor is getting vacuumed by the robot.
