Diet is certainly the most important part of burning stomach fat and is usually the side most people get wrong. A lot of people will cut all fat from their diet, others lower their calories to dangerously low levels. Others may even take harmful weight loss pills. Neither of these methods will give any long-term weight loss.

Below I will outline some of the most important tips on how to have a flat stomach.


Drop the Processed Food
The first and most obvious tip is to remove all processed foods. That doesn't just mean take-out, but also includes things like microwavable meals.

The awful part about fast food is that while it is ferociously calorie dense, it won't fill you for very long. You will be looking for food again only a short while later. The biggest problem is that you have likely just eaten 1000 calories in that one meal. A Big-Mac alone contains more than 540 calories and a rediculous 32g of fat. A large fries gives another 500 or so calories to that again.

Not only will not eating these foods drastically improve you body fat composition, but it will also leave you feeling significantly happier and more energised. You'll also be lowering your chances of getting all types of deadly dieseases.


Get Your Carbohydrates From Fruit and Vegetables
Carbs have gotten some seriously bad publicity lately, with some people saying they're they are at the center of the obesity epidemic.

That's true of refined carbohydrates like as sugar, white rice and white flour, which means foods like breads, pastries, candy, soft drinks. Carbohydrates that come from fruit and vegetables however, are much differnet. These foods won't have any sorts of preservatives and additives and are packedloaded with minerals and vitamins which are important for a healthy body. They are also much less calorie dense as most have massive amounts of fibre and water. Don't let the anti-carb people scare you, |just get your carbohydrates carbs from the correct foods.


Avoid Fruit Juice
The amount of calories in even a small fruit juice is close to about 3 different servings of fruit. Fruit doesn't have any of the preservatives of a fruit juice and has significantly more minerals and vitamins. It will also contain more fiber and water.

Fruit will also fill you up much more than the fruit juice will and leaves you with more stables blood sugar levels.


Use These Rules When Shopping
• Avoid sweeteners such as high fructose corn syrup. This is the most fattening chemical known to man.
• Make sure you avoid partially hydrogenated fats.
• Look for a short ingredient list. This means that there will be much less additives in the item.
• Ensure that any carbs you use are either fruit, vegetables or wholegrains.
• Ensure that any grain product you purchase is whole-grain and contains at least two grams of fiber per one hundred calories.
