Dani's getting better!
Monday, 11. December 2006, 14:40:32
Finally today we saw signs of our little one getting back to normal. She began eating well again, and drinks her antibiotic down like a trooper. (Matt- you never did that. We had to force it down you!)
This morning Yanhua had her medical checkup. It's not very thorough. But we found out that her ear infections are cleared up already, and she weighs a whopping 19.8 lbs. Everyone is advised to redo any immunizations back in the states, since there is no guarantee how accurate any information is...so, sorry Dani.
It is a shopping mecca here. We're having fun. Girls at the school...we've gotten you all a little something. Boys...we're still looking for you, but no worries!
Everyone is so sweet. Yes, they want you to buy in their shops, but still. We ate lunch in the White Swan Hotel. It is very nice. Hopefully we'll all get the famous pictures on the "red couch".
After lunch we toured the botanical gardens. What a gorgeous day to go there - temp. in the low 70's (and maybe 80's tomorrow)...enjoy the snow in Streator!! OH MY GOSH....BEAUTIFUL! Words can't describe....so here are pics:

Yes, those fish and dolphins are bushes!
Dani, Mommy, and our friend Frances

Dani was still very tired today, but started to get her spunk back. Unfortunately, Daddy was under the weather by afternoon...not sure why. It hit him like a brick! (Yes, dad, he took charcoal, among other things...I made him.)
Here's our hip chick

Tomorrow's more shopping, what else (did I mention everything is so cheap.)
On Wed. we get all dressed up to go to the American consulate.

I had to catch up on the pics and notes since we were gone, I could hardly wait. Dani is a true Giacinto in the sunglasses, a true drama queen just like her big sis. I wanted to let Chuck know too that Donny is a full time youth Pastor at his church now starting January 1st. They announced it while we were there Sunday, nice surprize. It sounds funny Pastor Donny. I can't wait to meet little Dani and to see you guys. Looks like everything has gone well, other than the puking.....Poor chuck

Hey All! Beautiful pictures. I'm jealous...it's a little chilly and gloomy around here. You'll be back in a few days--I can't believe how the time has gone by. I'm glad babycakes is feeling better--and we'll pray that daddy gets his strength back too. Keep the pics and videos coming! Can't wait to hug you all!! Bye for now....

So glad to hear Dani is feeling better. The pictures are beautiful especially the one with the fishes and dolphins. Can't wait to see you all when you get home. Pray you are feeling better too Chuck.
Don't shop till you drop too much, you have a few days yet till you get on that plane. Pray it is a good flight and Dani and Daddy fare better than the last plane ride!
Blesssings,
Gloria

I have been trying for days to send you a message. That annoying Monkey keeps telling me that he is not happy with my security code.
I am glad to here that Dani is feeling better. So sorry Chuck, you'll be home soon! The boys are loving the videos. I know Matt is giddy.
All he talks about to Jer Bear is his little sister. It's sooo cute!
Keep the pics coming I love them! The place you were today is beautiful. Can't wait to see you all. Take care.

What a sweetheart!
We pray that you are feeling better, Chuck.
For your enjoyment:
This one is for everyone who ...
a) has kids, b) had kids, c) was a kid, d) knows a kid e) is going to have kids.
I was packing for my business trip and my three year old daughter was
having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point
she said, "Daddy, look at this," and stuck out two of her fingers.
Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in
my mouth and said, "Daddy's gonna eat your fingers," pretending to eat them.
Went back to packing, looked up again and my daughter was standing on the
bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face.
I said, "What's wrong, honey?"
She replied, "What happened to my booger?"
Blessings - Tom and Shirley K.
