Splendid New Shoppe

I don't recall if I told you in my last post or not, and I'm feeling too lazy to read through it, but Stephanie and I had made engagements to go to the new coffee shop downtown.
I arrived about 8 minutes early, talked to the owner of the shoppe for a little bit, watched CNN (oh enthralling, I know.) Sat outside on the bench. Yes! All of this in 8 minutes! It wasn't until Stephanie came into view down the street did I realize how relaxed the place was. The shoppe owner, being a woman, was pretty funny. She saw Stephanie walking and said, "Awe! That's your friend? She's very pretty!" and she asked my age, which I replied. That was followed up with, "Really?! That young, eh? I'm always telling the guys around 19 or 20 years old that they need to take their girlfriends to coffee shops or they're a bunch asses!" That's when I knew I'm gonna like this place. She continued with, "That's great that you guys go to coffee shops at such a young age." Steph walked up to me at this point and the owner asked us a few more questions and we promised a little advertising with fellow friends if we liked it.
We both ordered. It was overwhelming the amount of flavors they had for expresso. The shelf was lined! We got our orders, and I'd probably mention how bad the time was between when we made the order and when it finally arrived, BUT they did just open and it was friggin good! We sat up by a window and talked a little. I finished my drink first, proudly. Steph was a lil shocked.
We walked out a little while later and started up to her house, saying our how-do-you-do's and just enjoying it all for the moment. We stopped at a few buildings. The originally named First National Bank (which is now Bank One) and read the plaque of history they had, the local bakery to read the times of business and between both of those stops was an attourney building. This stop was interesting. We looked at the plaque...and noticed a phone booth just around the corner. The phone was ringing, and Steph egged me on to answer it. So I walked over casually, looking at various buildings for hitmen or drug dealers. Picked up the phone and answered with something Stephanie thought of.

"Erie Street Phone Booth, how may I help you?"

And then we stopped at the bakery and then walked to her house. On the way there, she found out that I don't exactly take charge in a relationship. Her sister had about five guys over, which after a couple visits to their house, you realize is a common thing. Well, those guys with the exception of one, were exactly the type I hope I never turn into. That for a later post.
Her mom was on the phone when we walked in the kitchen. Cell phone rings. It was that drunk guy who's either calling for the radio station or Cavs tickets...I didn't answer that time. I'd be nice and just press End. Came back to the living room to say hi to everyone and learn who NOT to hang out with. Steph grabbed a movie to watch. We walked back to the kitchen for a few minutes, her sister walked in and said she's off to DQ with her friends.
A couple minutes later, Steph and I made our way down to the basement to watch the movie. THE FRIGGIN CELL PHONE RINGS!!! Another number I didn't recognize. Got comfy on the couch, she laid on me after she finished with her Chai tea...iced Chai tea.
The movie was very interesting. Very low-budget, loaded with British people. It was about ballroom dancers, which tickled me because Steph wants to learn the style of dance along with Swing. I told her muh g-ma showed me a few things, she just smiled and went back to watching. Of course, I enjoyed the girl resting her head on me more than the movie...and that sounds worse than what really happened. NOTHING HAPPENED, PERVERTS. After the movie, she pulled out some...odd...type of darts. I definitely lost, but to keep her from scoring, I stood in front of her and pulled her close, she threw over my shoulder and scored....I lost. Then she pulled out the legos! YAY! LEGOS!!!! I was being stupid and built a monkey house...that converted into a post office...that converted into a bunch of blocks. She tried a few things, gave up, and we put them all back.
Started walking out, PHONE RI-I-I-I-I-I-I-NGS AGAIN!!!!! Yeah, but this time it was Mom. I just missed the call. Walked upstairs, where the signal was better, and chatted with mummsy. She wanted to know when I was coming home and if I needed a ride. Well, after a few minutes, Steph called her dad to find out he won't be able to give me a ride, then talked to her mom, who said would take me home when she was done on the phone. Steph told me that it could be in 15 minutes...or...20 minutes...or 40 minutes. I told mom anywhere in the half hour range, getting a kiss from the girl in front of me at the same time. Got off that confounded cell phone, threw it back in my pocket and put all my attention on the girl of which my arms were around. Her mom left le kitchen and we filled her spot. Somehow, our conversation led to her being a video game and I came up with shtuff which was twisted around and said back to me. Heh...yep. That didn't look good for me at the end. IT WAS GOING FINE UNTIL SHE TWISTED MY LAST SENTENCE AND STEPPED BACK!!!!
That was fixed up when something was said and I pulled her back and started up ballroom dancing. That lasted for a few minutes and a few kisses and then we ended up back to the side door...which we left...to drop me off. ARG, I HATE LEEEEEEAVING HER.
:: breath ::
Well, came home, ate pizza, hopped on here. That's about as exciting as it's been since I got home. Maybe I can get out of the house again.
Pixel Pimp is in need of another issue for tomorrow, so I better start that.
:: sigh :: ...Back to boring life...
Next time we meet...I SHALL NOT BE HESITANT!!!...as much.
