The Almighty Force

Behold the power of...weariness. I'm so friggin sore. DDR did it. My god, I can't even close my eyes without seeing the scrolling arrows. I walk funny now because of the pain my legs are in. I need a long break. Well, I didn't really post anything yesterday, but it was an odd day, so I'll start there.
Woke up around noon-ish. Mom called and asked if I got the siblings up yet...well...I just woke up, so that was a no. Got yelled at for that. A typical failed attempt to put me in a guilt trip. I did happen to get them up and dressed before the adult family units got home. Then, they all went off to Hometown for that good old buffet cooking. I stayed home because I'm paranoid and made myself my own damn lunch without the coughing, sneezing, use of filthy hands, etc.
Pulled out DDR and started playing a few songs. The right pedal was stuck pressed and flew through the song list...I fixed that problem and then I noticed how bad my legs hurt. That was short-lived.
Packed it up, came to the computer, and that's when it got weird. All that is programmed and technology spat back at me. I downloaded a new media player called MediaMonkey. Winamp was NOT happy at all. Updated the library in MediaMonkey, started a shuffled playlist. Winamp stopped the music, crashed itself and refused to open back up. The actions it took was like it was PMSing, I swear! Then, the internet backfired on me. Wouldn't let LimeWire, Opera or IE connect. Only the messengers. o_O THEN my board imploded! Yes! My friggin message board kamekazied and erased most of the necessary things. I wiped it out, opened up the FTP to reupload the files to re-install when my FTP decided it doesn't like the server and quit out. I downloaded a new FTP client, opened it up, found myself looking at folders, none of which belonged to me. Turns out that the FTP didn't like ftp:// suffix in front of the URL. o_O So I deleted the board, uploaded new and found out that the password to the mySQL database was changed...Got the password, finished installing, then attempted to restore the 45 minute old backups. IT. DID. NOT. LIKE. IT. AT. ALL! Crashed IE and Opera. I told my server sharing buddy about it, sent him the backup and he did the rest. He rocks. Yeah...it was a day of misbehaving technology.

Now for today. Woke up at noon. Got out of bed a half hour later. About fell asleep on the floor in attempt to get to the computer two feet away to turn it on. Threw water on my face from the half-full water bottle on the desk, woke up a little more and managed to get up the steps to find some good wholesome breakfast. Said hi to Mom just as she was walking out the door to take Aaron to piano lesson. (That took place 1:30) About 45 minutes later, I answered the phone to a beautiful voice asking if I could go to a coffee shop a town over with her.
Called Mom, got approved, called back, told, said bye, hopped in the shower.
My stupid mistake was to play a couple rounds of DDR before going. It kind of took the point out of getting a shower. Anyhoo, I got some spending moneys from Mummsy and opened the door just as Steph was putting her finger on the doorbell. We were off to the coffee shop.
It was a very nice place. All wood work. Paintings, catchy jazz music. The coffee was friggin strong! Good gawd! You could practically taste the caffiene as it rolled on your tongue. They had games and books and shtuff. Steph pulled out a mysteries game. We quizzed back and forth to see who can solve them first. She felt smarter than me because I took my time...I still got 80% of each mystery right! m/>_<m/ They had this maze with a marble. Good if you have a steady hand. I got half way through the maze. I could see the path to get through it. Tilted it a little and the friggin marble jumped the walls back out of it. That was frustrating. I gave up and we pulled out books. I'm now on a quest to get Memoirs of a Geisha. It was hilarious just knowing someone had the balls to make a book like that. We read Edgar Allen Poe and Shakespeare. Three hours and four drinks later, her mom showed up and I went home with Steph.
First thing she did was load an ooooold computer game on her system called Callahan's. It was a spiffy game loaded with riddles. It was friggin hard.
Soon after, I got a glass of water and found myself having a battle with her little brother and his friend with pillows. It was fun. In the end, I got the hostage, the famous board game Clue, and ran out of the room before their defenses were ready for a second wave.
Clue was very very short-lived. Her mom knew who it was at around the 15th turn. So we cleaned that up and put it away. Then Steph and I headed back to the kitchen for a little. Her sister, BB and friend Renee are so friggin funny. We ended up walking them down the street to Taco Bell. Renee ordered a whole friggin bag of food to herself. It was hysterical.
I must say tonight was probably one of the funnest nights I've had with Steph. I love my girl! (I would add a few more things, but since I'm a cynic, I'd probably reread and delete it)
Unfortunately, tonight ended earlier than normal. Mom called and asked if I could be taken home...So we dropped did the whole lot at once. Dropped Renee off at her house, said bye and all that jazz then dropped me off. I got my good bye kisses
and whispered to Steph to keep me. (Pretty much hit the gas hard and don't let me get out.)
Got in the front door and I swear fatigue bitchslapped me. I was exhausted!!!! GEEZE!!! I attempted to play DDR without falling. I got not falling, but playing the game seemed impossible.
Took a shower and here I am. Tomorrow, I have a dentist appointment at ten. If I don't start waking up at nine, we'll never make it. Well, I'm off!
