To Sleep or Not to Sleep?
Friday, July 30, 2004 5:10:36 AM
That is the question...with only one answer; If I could, I'd sleep every damn minute I wasn't with my dear Stephanie. BUT three hours of sleep for the past three days can only mean one of two things...I can't sleep because Insomnia is a fowl temptress...or...I spend a helluva lot of time with my dear Stephanie...It's the first one.
With that said, let's talk about the rest of my life, shall we?! Hokay then! Since I have all this time on my hands and a web server at my disposal, I've done a lot of modifications to Megamedia. The top menu is rounded on the top right and left corners, the whole site is no longer stuck to the top of the window, but now more towards the center. Joined a 204-site webring...us being the 204th site. Submitted a banner to be advertised for one week on two different websites. Greatly improved our stats for the day from 5 to 25. Updated the links page with a shitload more links for Photoshoppers and webmasters, put a bottom part to the site which includes the disclaimer, putting the site more compact. The way I want it. Modified the background color to a more neutral shade of navy blue. Now the blue I want it to be. Changed the font on the news box so it wasn't so friggin huge...Now looking for a shout box for the main page. I think that's about it...Not much. Also found a web host I want to get when the money is available. 40 gb bandwidth, 1 gig space, unlimited everything else. And by everything else, I mean everything.
Now back to the living part of life. (Everything not technology.) I know it seems like all I talk about is my dear Steph, but when I'm out with her is the only time I'm not at a computer doing something besides reading. So, because of this, you must obviously have a clue that the next part is about a date I was on with Steph. (If so, you should now feel that much smarter because you are right about that.)
Hokay. Well, the original plan was for Steph to come over...Which wrote over the original plan to go downtown to see the Van Dells...which turned back to be the plan again. My memory slips from me so easily. Well, there were a couple reasons to go to the Van Dells concerto. One being it was the original plan and that Steph and her dad had planned on going because he had to work for the choir boosters and two because the adult male was coming from an overnight one day early and as you should know by now, I'll get out of the house when I can, but double-time when Steph and I can go out. If you didn't catch all of that, go back and re-read. ^_^
Anyhoo, my keyboard is grimy. I feel I shall clean it tomorrow with a rag and rubbing alcohol. And my magical talents allowed me to reboot and keep this journal entry safe! You probably didn't even notice!
Hokay, Van Dells...vandells...vandals...ha...humor. Steph and I got back to that plan over AIM. Short conversation...which was supposed to be followed by a phone call, but Mummsy was on the phone the entire time between the convo and the show. My brothers piano came earlier today too. Pearl River upright. High-gloss, black. Great sound. Just a little off key. Mummsy was also organizing my brothers piano music...Remarkable she did that. Finished just as I had to leave. Great timing. Got there, said bye to Mom, who brought up the fact I had no money or cell phone. She said I'm a vagrant. I asked what the hell that was and she said anyone who doesn't have $15 or more in their pockets are called vagrants...Once again, I asked her what the hell that meant, she said a bum. I had a house key! So what?! Well, said bye again and walked up the street to the friggin HUGE audience. Walked all the way around them to the opposing side of the stage. (yes, stupid when I found out Steph was there and there was a path to walk right in front of the stage) Said hi, most eagerly to see her. Said hi to her dad, said hi to Greg, said something to Marissa and Jessica that wasn't hi, but smartass. Don't remember, not important. Walked across the front of the stage, just then feeling my stupidity of walking around the crowd, to the other side, walked back, sat on a blanket. Listened to the lengthy introduction of the band, joked around, made room for Steph after her lemonade tipped over on her spot, she laid against me and we listened to half of the first song. Got up, walked off. Steph and I walked aroooound the crowd to the back and to the other side, still in the back. Stopped by the entrance to the bank and chilled there for the rest of the show. Just her and I with occasional pass-by's from her dad. (Of course, Steph and I kissed and did all the stuff I only like to do with her, but just like last time, why do you need to know all the intimate details?!
)
After the show, we walked to the choir food..trailer...thing and Steph told her dad that she wants to walk back to her house. Soon, Steph had a bag of popcorn and a bag of cookies as well as her lemonade in her hand...all of which (besides lemonade) wasn't asked for. Greg stopped by, asking if I was walking home. I smiled and looked at Steph and he caught on, didn't really wait for a response after that. In fact, I don't know if he got an answer or not, my mind had thoughts I was focussed on when that question was brought up.
So Steph, her dad and I walked to her van, unloaded the food she didn't want, and we went walking on walls.
Then walking back to her house, she told me a story about a time someone tried to commit suicide out of a three story building. I followed that up with something. And we talked more and more and I said something (DAMN my memory! Damn it, I say!)!!!(Had to edit! Just remembered what deserved the following...) which in return got me kissed on our way to her house.
(We started talking about the adult male. She mentioned "my dad" being home soon, I told her yeah, right now in fact....*skips another block of lost memory* "I'll get out of the house when I can, I'll get out of the house twice as fast when Steph is involved."
(And THAT got me the kiss out of the blue, my friends. I meant every word of it too. *stands proud, beaming with pride!* And now the REST of the story...)
Walked through the yard, behind all the tall bushes and into her house. Said hi to her dad again. Got the food out of the car, brought it back, kissed a lot. Only her. Oath of Lip Devotion, remember! (Starting to understand that yet?) Called Mom. Said I needed a ride home this time. She said she'll get some real clothes on and come pick me up. Steph and I made it very clear to eachother that we wanted to make the best of the last 15 minutes we had before the night went out. And so we did.
(Yeah, another part for you perverts. Hate to burst yer bubble, but there was no sexxings involved, thankyoumuch.) Mom pulled up, of course, and Steph walked me to the van...in her socks...I wanted to carry her. And of course, take her home with me. Asked Mom if I could, response, "I can't be out driving around all night, Josh." >_> Well...I didn't want to go, so it took me a minute, then I got in the car. Very quiet ride home.
And so here I am at the computer again after another wonderful outting with my dear Stephanie. I stink and my back hurts. Now talking to her on MSN.
Must shower and Photoshop.
