If You Order It

It will come. Finally got a tracking number from Newegg so I can watch where my motherboard is. They just sent it out this afternoon. The recieve date said August 16th...How so very convenient and coincidential. It makes me a little irked that we paid extra to get here by tomorrow, but as long as it gets here, I can't really complain.
With that said, my computer yesterday didn't work at all. None of the Windows utilities. Nothing. Today, I booted it thinking it'll be a long long day backing my files up, only to find out that everything works. In fact, it works better than it ever did. Which is really strange.
Western Digital clarified that the problem was not the hard drive, it was the rest of the PC. Reminds me of a quote Steph told me a couple months back.
Speaking of Steph. I really miss her. Not that you haven't solved that from the last post or the post before that, you rocket scientist, you. One day, I will see her....oh yes. I will see her. (Thanks to Wayne's World for that last line...with changes)
I keep thinking back to the first few times I talked to Steph online, how I really showed off my vocabulary. (Yes, we talked in school for a good three and a half quarters before that, but typical vocabulary) To this day I still realize, even though I promised Greg I'd never go out with Steph, that I was trying to impress her. (Yes, if you know the story, I made that promise around semister exams. 14 weeks later, I started trying to impress her. 18 weeks after semister exams, I'm dating her. Happily, but hesitantly breaking that promise. Haven't regetted it since.
) - (Still wish I didn't "have" to ask her. I think it would've been a lot better ((even better than it is)) if we fell into the relationship, ya know? No asking needed. It just happens.) - (...Like starting it with a kiss...
, but I got fidgity and jumped the gun and asked her straight out.) - (And if you get the wrong idea about that ((somehow)), please PLEASE talk to me so I can straighten it up!) - (Okay, I'm done.) Funny how that changed. Now I talk to her like I did at school. (and I really wish I could think of something to say. What the hell happened between friends and dating that made my mind go blank?) - (Now I'm done)
On the 20th, Brian is having an overnight video game party, which I am no doubt going to. I skipped out on a trip to New York, man! I'm going. I'm bringing my PC and my DDR mat. We are going to make that weekend rock. My checklist is HUGE too! Take a look:
-Hard Drive BOXED
-Keyboard & Mouse Boxed w/o batteries
-Monitor (Who could forget?)
-Headphones
-6 ft. CAT5 Cable
-Surge Protector
-Screwdriver (For opening the case for le hard drive)
-Blue Crate 'o' Software (literally a small blue crate filled with games)
-Quake III, DOOM 3
-House Key
-$5 (For poker...of some strange variation)
-DDR Mat
And it keeps growing. Unfortunately, the folks get back the day after this ends, so I have to get a ride home from someone with rather large trunk space. I hope to have the new motherboard running by then, so there will be nooooo bogging down. The CAT5 I'm hoping to yank out of the cable modem to the router, since noone will be here anyhoo. I'm really hoping that the 20th isn't the only day that week I can see Steph. What conflict that would bring.
(psst...Invite Steph to Brian's party...sounds good
)
I gotta get Still Life With Woodpecker back to Steph too. That means more reading, less screwing around with the shit machine of a computer. Time is not on my side either. Why won't it go faster til the next time I see Steph then slow down while I'm seeing Steph so it doesn't seem like our time together isn't so short? She wants to take me to Fazolli's for my birthday. I won't hold her to it unless it's the only way I can see her.
Did I mention that my friends from Colorado came by over this last weekend? I think I did, but didn't really tell what the hell happened. Well, the younger one, who's older than me by a week and taller than me by a mile, stopped by one morning. Mom came downstairs and woke me up to go greet her. So we started realizing how different we were since the last time they came down. She was hooked on the fact that I have a moustache and look so friggin young. And she was extremely tall. Simply put. So we chilled in the living room. She asked me questions. An early one was if I had a girlfriend. When I said yes, with a grin, she looked shocked as if she didn't think someone like me would have one. (Which I can't blame her) Then she asked me how long and I gave her the range...Somewhere around two months with a week in there. Then she asked me how many girlfriends I had, I answered honestly with two. The one I have and the one I had. (Somehow, I'm very happy with just two, although I'm not very happy that the first one ever happened.) And she picked on me for being short and I picked on her for being friggin tall. And I interrogated her with the same questions. Then we went back and forth about school and yadda. Her sister showed up at the door about an hour after she did. Her sister is two miles taller than me and a year older than me. She's fun as hell. So we talked too and picked on her because she did these akward faces and things she didn't even know she was doing. They both asked to hear my bro play piano. I told them he was still sleeping. So we snuck into his room. The older sister had a pencil in her hand, in hopes to shove it up his nose. Now, the two visitors did A LOT that showed they were sisters, but the most obvious was when the older tickled my brother in the neck with the pencil. Both of them looking over my brothers elevated matress to see, both of them crouching down when he moved. They did the exact same thing at the exact same time and laughed the exact same way about it. That was extremely strange for me. So they stood back up after my bro stopped moving and the older one poked him again and he jumped to life, opening his eyes to a faceful of the two. He came out of his room a little later and played piano. They left a little after that and later on that day, I went to Greg's...which is in that post. (Once again, I ask that if you somehow took that the wrong way at all, that you please talk to me about it. - (And if you did, you don't trust me, do you?) - (Thus why I have no idea why I do public journals. They make me paranoid.) - (I'm loyal to Stephanie. I put my life on it.) - (Quote me if you want) - (Jesus, I'm paranoid) - (I'm done again)
<Sexy Spanish accent>Inside my nerdy and cold exterior, beats deh heart of a true lover. I would never cheat on Stephanie. Never, I tell you. My brains couldn't do something so terrible to someone so beautiful with so much meaning to me.</sexy Spanish accent>
Random Thought: I really need a hair cut
Well, I really gotta read. This book makes me think twice before asking a girl what she's thinking now.
It's keeping my interest more now. It's starting to make sense. The beginning really threw me in circles trying to catch on to the authors' style of writing. Very humorous now. I forget...there was two words I was supposed to tell Steph when I got to them so she could pick on me.
Well, better go find out, eh?
