Tallit which is spelled as Tallith is a Prayer Shawl. Tallit worn by Jewish men and women. The Tallit is used during the morning prayer, on all weekdays. It and it is not worn for afternoon and evening prayers.

The Tallit is a white rectangular piece of fabrics which is usually made of wool, but is available in cotton, polyester or silk. There are fringes at four corners of the Tallit are special knots called Tzitzit. Tallit itself has no religious meaning. Tzitzit purpose is to remind us of God's commandments.
