flickr, writely, web2.0
Opera will always be my main browser, it is absolutely my favorite program to use. However lately I've been unable to use some Web 2.0 websites on Opera:
Flickr
Writely
Google Spreadsheet
Vox (formatting)
I understand that it's not easy to get full compatability, especially when your market share is so small that the majority of webmasters don't have time to test their sites on Opera. And Opera can only try to contact them and work with these sites, but they cannot demand anything.
So I feel frustrated that I cannot use Opera with my favorite sites, and that I have to have two browsers open at any time (the other one I use is Flock, by the way).

Firefox has become very popular in the last few months, teaching the public that IE is not the only internet browser, and by far not the best browser. Firefox is in fact a very good browser, more secure then IE, it has many cool features (most noticably tabbed browsing), and it is Open Source, so it's freely available to everyone.
So why am I not using Firefox? Here's why:
- Firefox uses extensions to add features to it. So you need to download and install 3rd party little programs and add them to Firefox. This causes compatability problems between different extentions and different versions of the same extention. Opera includes all features in one single download, no 3rd party programs to add separately.
- Opera's download size is smaller than Firefox's, even though Opera comes with all features while Firefox has only basic features.

Internet Explorer (IE) comes as default with Windows, so why should you make the effort of downloading and installing another browser? Have you ever heard of spyware? Go to Wikipedia to find out more about
spyware.
IE has many security holes that spyware take advantage of. I have experienced this myself. My wife was using IE, and one day the IE home page was changed to CoolWebSites.com, or something like that. Not long after that IE started crashing frequently, and other programs followed along. I tried to get rid of it, with Anti-virus and other programs, but with no success. So I was left with the only option of formatting my harddrive and re-install Windows.
Since then, I do not let my wife use IE, instead she now uses Opera. And we haven't had problems anymore.
A secure browser is more important than an anti-virus. So do yourself a favor, and download Opera now!!

This blog is for me to try and convince people that Opera is the best internet browser. I will post why I think Opera is the best browser, and hopefully will help people to start using this wonderful software. If you are a friend of mine, please download Opera now and install it. You will not regret it. If you don't know me, I hope you will.
