Too much pressure!!! Too much pressure!!!

Tweek, calm down! Drink some coffee...

Cause and effect?

,

This was my first time at the meditation session.
I decided to take new approach of the mind management.
I am not looking for a religion, I am not looking for an explanation of where we're from and what this life is going to turn out like. I just need some peace of mind.

I would like to be able to cut off my body when it hurts, to close myself down to unpleasant people, to concentrate on finding peace and happyness within me and stop reaching out for factors outside and expect them to make my day...

I would like to believem, that every cause has got reflecting effect. That doing good, brings good, doing bad brings bad upon us.
And I have noticed that some time ago. even if I think my frustration, anger etc. will not affect anyone, it always comes back to my life. Very often doubled in it's power...
How good would it be to not even let it out to the world.
How good would it be to be able to stop the bad we receive from others.
How good would it be not to reflect it futher adding strength to it...

Am I capable?

PS. New Opera looks cool, but where are the profile pictures of my friends?

Perhaps you should grab a book by William Glasser: The Choice Theory. There he describes that we alone decide how to react on people. They just provide the "data" we do the "emotional reaction". Or better; we chose it.

But I believe that everything in nature tends to find a ballance. Sooner or later things come to their right place. Of course there are some minor fluctuations and injustices, but perhaps the big picture remains neutral.

Very true!

I will look for this book after Thursday (read: payday).

I don't like the idea of us inheriting bad karma from previous life though.
This seems a bit... unfair...

My therapist tried to teach me that:

1- reality is what we perceive it to be.
2- Its not what happens to us but how we react.
3- we can only control our reaction to things, not other people.

I'm getting better at these things, but I'm a work in progress!

I think what so many miss as a point to look at is the possibility the small kindness, or wrong doing might make the most difference. Everything is connected to a great deal and I think that is often forgotten. Also, I have said it before and I'll say it again.
Imagine the number of possibilities that could happen in our universe, even on the small end of equating it to 10 times the number of stars, the possibility of you happening is... to sum it up, to be is a gift and a sign of your place in the universe. Find grace in the fact you have more than most. I have found affirmations work wonders for stress.
Blah, Blah, Blah.. any-who, got me ramblin aye. and its a small grace I am stopping now.
