Hello Ganesh,
to prepare for the IIT-JEE in future, I will suggest, you should concentrate on your 10th class syllabus at the moment.Make your foundations in maths strong.
Once you get into 11th class then you can begin preparing for IIT-JEE. Right now just study your 10th syllabus well.Click here to read an article written by me. Read this article to understand my logic.

Hello Ganesh,
if your state text books are of good quality then reading NCERT books in 10th class is not necessary.

Hello Priyanka,
in maths there is no need to study any book other than NCERT if you are not preparing for any engineering entrance.
For physics U-Like is the best guide for board preparation.
For medical entrance use Arihant Prakashan guides.

Hello Niranjhan,
read the solved examples in H.C.Verma's book. Get yourself a good teacher for personal tuition who can teach you the finer-skills of problem solving.

anonymous and rajdip, joining a coaching is not necessary for clearing IIT-JEE.Finish you basic 11th+12th syllabus as quickly as possible, then go for problem solving practice from popular IIT-JEE guides.
swati, since you are already taking coaching. You should try to be up to date with your coaching's studies.

Hello Saikat,
these books are good.
For physics theory, even NCERT books are enough. For problem solving practice, you can use any standard IIT-JEE guide. For example, New Pattern IIT physics- Arihant.

it depends upon person to person.Normally you should regularly give 6 to 7 hours per day to self study.

Praharsha
there is no need to revise the physics and chemistry of 9th and 10th class, because in 11th class these subjects start from the basic. So do not waste your time.
Yes you should revise the maths syllabus of 9th and 10th.

Anonymous,
ask your teachers for guide.
In maths questions come almost entirely from the NCERT, in other subjects only such questions are asked which can be answered by studying NCERT.
Priya,
click here and read an article written by me on board preparation.
