My take on Unite

I've seen many other unfair posts by non-Opera users about the actual utility and overblown privacy concerns. The biggest problem people seem to have is the false idea that data must pass through Opera's servers. First of all, data passes through other servers only when both users are behind a firewall. You can ensure a direct connection between your computers by forwarding the Unite port.
As for its utility, I can see myself using Unite to share files fore a short period on my laptop to someone that I don't really know enough to open an FTP or a Windows network share. The media player service is one that I can see running on my desktop if I frequently used public computers for an extended amount of time.
