Mac OS X

No its not the greatest thing since sliced bread. Mac OS X however, is far more functional than Windows. I admit I use XP for gaming. Recently, I did not relish the fact of having to buy Vista or Windows 7. So I bought a Mac instead. I call that my investment. Mac OS X 10.5.6 is interesting. Bottom line though, its so much less of a pain in the ass than Windows. Stable,Reliable and fast, better yet stays that way. I can swear its removed much aggravation from my daily computing. I do not like to have to sit and fix Windows all the time. Enough said.

Windows 7

Hi all,

Yes, Windows 7 is my topic this time. Note worthy indeed. So I have a beta copy of it and have played with it. First off, its like a less retarded version of Vista. I was easily able to change stuff I didn't like out of the box. Seems allot faster too as far as booting goes. My initial impression was really not bad. However, since I still use XP and don't fancy the effort of upgrade to Windows 7 the was simple. I am not looking forward to the cost and the incompatibility issues. Logic dictates its gonna happen and per usual take a look at this this. I take it as a sign of things to come. It happened with Vista and its gonna happen again, sad. Microsoft really could go about this in a better way. I however, as noted don't fancy the cost of the ultimate edition or of any addition. All things considered the smart option is to buy a MAC. Speaking of which its exactly what I did. I will eventually phase Windows out totally. I use now only for gaming since I have the MAC. Let me tell you something, so much less stress since I got it. XP is nice and breaks too frequently. Also requires me to spend allot of money on basic required things like a AV and tools to keep it working. MAC does not, I'm not saying MACs are perfect though. MACs just work and stay that way. I do still prefer Linux to MAC though. Haha, take it it or leave. Note, I see bad things on the Horizon for Windows users due to M$' own stupidity. Consider your self warned and now go buy a MAC.

I've been a slacker

Hi all,

Its been ages since I have posted here. Like 6 months +. Well, I would be doing my job if I didn't at least think about new items to post here. Without further ado, let me post some items of interest. Weird that I am just announcing I am gonna post. Oh, well its done.

XP SP3 anyone?

Its interesting since allot of articles like this have surfaced about XP SP3. All of them saying the numerous issues SP3 have caused, from PCs becoming unstable to totally unbootable. However, XP is a aging OS but its still better than Vista. I would ask myself why any person or company would accept this kind of blatant neglect and lack of quality. Micro$oft is clearly complacent and don't seem to care a whole lot about much. Well, anyone that does accept this does so at their own peril and cost. Here we go again and I say I told you so.

Linux, the future

I think the one thing thats gonna successfully define the future of Linux is going to Ubuntu. I remeber watching distrowatch.com as suddenly the #1 and #2 distros got dethroned. I turned from a wtf happened to hard core Ubuntu user quickly. Ever since ubuntu appeared I am amazed at how fast its taken and evolved. Also its interesting to see Dell adopt it and sell PCs with it on there. Ubuntu has proven itself good and well liked. I've had lots if success using it for a server OS. I've achieved uptime and stability I have never thought possible without FreeBSD. Don't get me wrong FreeBSD is great, but maintaining it is a pain. Ubuntu's high profile status is gonna allow it to really be a driving force behind the future of Linux. My question is why have I not heard the words "redhat" or "fedora" for a good while? I monitor the Linux world like a hawk thanks to google alerts. I think Ubuntu did Linux right and will continue to prove this and show the world this. Ubuntu is a good alternative Windows, but then again it will take time and effort to loosen the hold Windows has. Either way good things are gonna happen.

Oh here we go again

Microsoft U-turn to stop Linux dominating ultra low cost PCs

Well, give that article I'd say M$ is trying to protect that FLOP we call vista. Microsoft previous admitted Vista was a half baked/incomplete OS release. I think this paints a fairly complete picture at what went fubar(wrong) for this whole Vista thing. Now, its no surprise M$ is trying to stop the spread of Linux given its such a threat to it. I am annoyed with this because if M$ ever did anything right with windows its yet to be seen. For now I will simply just say I told you so and leave it there. Once again time proved that M$ just screwed up again. Will they ever stop?

Now lets all point and laugh at Vista

Vista class action law suit - Does that not say it all? Would people please now listen to me?! HAHAHAH, another I told you so. Thank you micro$oft!

A visa I told you so

Vista SP1 blocks 3rd party apps All I need to say Vista is crap here is more proof. This should never have happened. Vista was pushed out the door prematurely I've said it before and I'll say it again.
