Looks like improvement to me

Hi all,
First the article. Microsoft seemingly has made a effort to support the ODF format. They have released a Open XML to ODF format. Sun is also releasing a version to translate .doc to .odf, powerpoint and excel to follow soon. FYI, Open XML is office 2007's default format. Has M$ given way to pressure? Looks like it for sure. Though the issue that brought this about was the state of Mass going wtf are we gonna do? In regards to them having OLD WORD docs they could no longer use that contained needed information. It was thanks to them and the pressure that they put on M$ that a new era has come about. I can only hope both Sun and M$ follow through to completion. Then finally the line between ODF and M$ formats will be basically gone. I'll give Micro$oft some credit for doing it and following through. Still doesn't mean I will buy the over priced software, but its a start. I'm staying ODF all the way.
