Whatever the question the answer is always 42

Is windows the only way to go anymore?

First off, HELL NO its not the only way. We have alternatives like MAC OS X and Ubuntu. People need to know this now more than ever. While this article makes a good case on alternative OSes, which honestly I applaud, I do not agree with it all. One of the things it doesn't mention is the rapid evolution of Linux and even OS X compared to windows. We are talking improvements and fixes happening allot faster and more frequently than Windows. True Windows is highly polished and has many tools that make it great for Enterprise. Lol, thats if you like exploits, viruses and effort it takes to lock it down. Yes, I'm anti windows, big time. I believe Windows doesn't own the future especially given its rate of evolution compared to Linux and OS X. The point will come when they move so fast and improve so much that Micro$oft can't keep up. Lol, like they can now. Ubuntu has a great future and a even greater destiny and it will change the world. Heck, its already started with that as you can easily see by its climbing popularity. People will wake up and smell the roses. The day rapidly approaches where there will be a split between Windows and Linux Desktop users, an almost even one. Micro$oft can't stop it either, although they really do try. This whole patent infringement claims by them are a shining example of that. In case you're not up to speed here are a few articles: How Micro$oft's threat could play out Article about the patent crap from zdnet. I can't trust a company that pulls this kind of crap because it feels threatened, pathetic but true. I think I've stated my case so I'll leave it at this.
