FPC(FreePascal) and my works

I've recently started a open source and some what commercial project to build a better control panel, to replace plesk and cpnael/whm. I'm writting the core service in FPC, yeah not using C/C++, bet a few of you think I'm nuts now. Why FPC? Simple, its easier and quicker than C/C++ and just as powerful. Why should I waste my time using C when I can bring this to market alot faster with FPC and honestly speed counts I have little free time and need to progress as much as possible. There will be alot of people out there that say I'm crazy or insane, and that I should have used C, but I don't care. I am bat shit crazy and perfectly at peace with what I'm doing. I do know C, certainly enough to get into trouble. I took the su command and made it a very neat setuid wrapper. I had to really learn some C to manage that, I have the code and I may release it sometime. Still can develope faster in FPC than C hands down. FPC is Delphi compatable to a point which is good cause some Delphi code builds under it without moding at all. I've seen C programmers switch to Delphi, but never a Delphi programmer switch to C. To me FPC is perfect its a powerful actively developed compiler and with the lazarus project it has alot of Delphi compatability and a crossplatrom RAD environment. On a personal level I value dev speed over is it a specific language. That means java,c/c++ are out automatically most times. I'll favour PHP,Perl or FPC over them, thats just how it is. PHP pays the bills not c/c++ or java, so there you go.
