Devil May Cry 4 is the second sequel (Devil May Cry 3 being a prequel) to the Capcom action game Devil May Cry. It was announced in March 2007 that the game would be released simultaneously for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and later PC. It is being developed by Capcom Production Studio 4, the producers of Resident Evil 4 and the original Devil May Cry.
In the game, the player controls Nero, a new character, in addition to an appearance by series lead Dante, fighting demonic enemies in close combat using firearms, swords and a variety of weaponry in a horror setting. Also joining the cast is a new female character, Kyrie. Capcom has also revealed three new characters, Credo, Gloria and Agnus, along with returning characters Lady and Trish.
Presentation
A teaser trailer was shown at E³ 2005, depicting Dante traveling through snow and quickly performing some fast, stylish moves. A more substantial second trailer was released at that year's Tokyo Game Show (TGS), where it showed a more rugged and older Dante in a city-like setting. These two teasers showed very little detail of the game itself.
At the 2006 Tokyo Game Show a more complete trailer debuted, along with a playable demo featuring the character Nero.
Images from the March 2007 issue of Famitsu, showed Dante as a playable character. A short trailer released later showed video of the character in gameplay.
Dante will reportedly be the player's main character for around the second half of the game, until the final boss battle.
Next-Gen improvements
Itsuno said in the Famitsu article that the visuals attempt to deliver a satisfying feel of being in the air, and that the actions of Nero's right arm could not be done on then-current generation consoles and only on the PS3, though the game has since been slated for cross-platform release on the Xbox 360 and PC. Gameplay visuals, shown at TGS 2006, demonstrate this game mechanic in action. Kobayashi has stated in a Game Informer interview that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be identical, although he did not comment on the PC version. In a Eurogamer interview, Kobayashi confirmed again that PS3 and Xbox 360 versions would be identical and said that the PC version "would be great because the same team is working on both". Also the PC version will be on Games for Windows.

Burnout Paradise (formerly known as Burnout 5) is a forthcoming video game in the Burnout series, due for release on January 22, 2008 in North America and January 25, 2008 for Europe. It will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It has a seamless open-world set in the fictional 'Paradise City', with no loading times and no traditional online lobbies or game menus. . The downloadable demo for Burnout Paradise (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) became available on Thursday December 13. . FEATURES . According to Alex Ward from developer Criterion Games, this game will be a "complete reinvention" of the Burnout series. He also said "To create truly next-generation gameplay, we needed to create a truly next-generation game, from top to bottom." Despite being in an open-world, the game still retains the high 60 frames per second frame rate most Burnout games have used. However, compromises such as the lack of day and night cycles and weather conditions have been made. Records will now be kept on player's drivers licenses and there will be statistics such as fastest time and biggest crash for every street in the game. Crash mode has been renamed to Showtime mode. Now, instead of having preset junctions and predetermined traffic patterns, the player may crash in any location in the world, pull both triggers on their controller and activate Showtime mode. Showtime mode can also be activated during events such as Road Rage and Race, even when online. Also, races are no longer specific lengths and types. Races are simply started by pulling up at any of the 120 traffic lights around Paradise City. Multiple settings have been confirmed to be fully customisable such as: .
"Boost Rules" - The player may choose Burnout 1, 2, 3 or Revenge style Burnout meters.
Traffic Checking - Can be turned off so players may not strike and utilise traffic travelling in the same direction as the player as a weapon.
Whether there is traffic in the event.
Start and finish points for events with up to 16 checkpoints.
. The damage system is also being reworked. There are now two different types of crash based on the condition of the car after the crash. If the player's car manages to retain all four wheels, the player may drive out of the crash and continue playing. If a player's car loses its wheels, the car is in a "wrecked" state and the player will have to wait until their car is reset. Cars can also be torn into several pieces, be compressed and deform around objects as you crash into them. However, Alex Ward confirmed in the Official Crash FM podcast that cars may not be ripped in half as concept pictures and early information stated. Also, there is a special edition of the game, including a Steel Wheels version of the Carson GT concept car, which will feature the car with armour plate and supercharger. . Cars now have manufacturer and model names, which are loosely based on real-world cars but are mostly fictional (some of the cars are even based on cars from previous Burnout game, i.e. the Hunter Manhattan is the Classic from Burnout 2). Cars may not be "tuned up" or customised apart from color changes, which may be done in real-time by driving through the forecourt of a paint shop which will randomly assign a color to the car. Other real-time changes include driving through the forecourt of a petrol station to automatically refill your Burnout meter, and driving through the forecourt of a repair shop to automatically repair your car, allowing you to extend a Road Rage event beyond the car's damage limits. . The online lobby system that most video games feature has been replaced by a far more streamlined system known as "Easy Drive". While driving, players simply hit right on the D-Pad and the Easy Drive menu pops up on the bottom left hand corner of their screen. From there, players are able to invite another player from their friends list. Once friends have joined the game, the hosting player is then able to pick from a variety of events to play. . MUGSHOTS . A "Mugshots" camera feature is available in the Burnout Paradise versions for the PlayStation 3 (using the PlayStation Eye) and Xbox 360 (using the Xbox Live Vision). When a player is taken down, both players will have their photos taken and exchanged. These photos can then be saved to your hard drive. The Xbox 360 version will allow camera-less persons, or those who do not wish to use their real face, to use their gamertag picture.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision for Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It will be the eighth installment in the Call of Duty video game series (including expansions), the first not to be set during World War II, and the first to be rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB. It was announced on April 25, 2007[5]. It will be released on November 6, 2007 at 1:00 AM in North America, and will be released on November 9, 2007 in Europe. It will come out in Australia on November 7, 2007 . Plot . The story is told from a perspective of a British 22nd Special Air Service Regiment operative in Russia and an American 1st Force Recon operative in the Middle East. The game also features a flashback mission set 15 years ago in the Chernobyl Zone of Alienation, which features a new incarnation of Captain Price from 22nd SAS Regiment, the only character to appear in both of the first two games of the Call of Duty series. He and his squad have been ordered to assassinate a radical Russian nationalist, but the mission fails because Price's squad captain is wounded in action and has to be immediately evacuated from the Zone of Alienation before the assassination can be carried out. . The Russian nationalist, a man by the name of Imran Zakhaev, is set on returning his homeland to the times of the Soviet Union by revolting against the current government and seizing a nuclear weapons stockpile. Zakhaev has the support of several divisions of the Russian army, but he knows the United States would never allow this to happen and so funds a coup in the Middle East, organized by his ally Al-Asad, to draw attention away from Russia. Zakhaev, Al-Asad, and their seconds-in-command soon become known as The Four Horsemen. The British and U.S. governments discover the plot while monitoring Zakhaev's recent activities, and quickly initiate a police-action to quell the uprisings in both regions. During the conflict, a Russian nuclear weapon is launched by Al-Asad from his stronghold in the Middle East towards the U.S., escalating the dire situation into a war. . Game Engine . Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will run on a proprietary engine, and has next generation features such as true world-dynamic lighting, bloom effects, dynamic shadows and depth-of-field. "Bullet Penetration" is calculated by the engine, taking into account things such as surface type and entity thickness. Certain objects, such as cars, will be destructible (it should be noted that the environments are still indestructible). This makes distinguishing cover from concealment important, as meager protection such as wooden fences, thin walls and such will no longer provide sufficient protection. The bullet's speed and stopping power will be decreased after penetrating an object, and this decrease is calculated realistically depending on the thickness and surface of the object penetrated. The game also makes use of a physics engine, which was not implemented in previous Call of Duty titles for the PC. Death Animations are a combination of pre-set animations and ragdoll physics. Some mistook the game's graphics to be DirectX 10 based, but it is stated that the graphics use DirectX 9. . Reception . Official Playstation Magazine Australia gave Call of Duty 4 a perfect 10 out of 10. Official Xbox Magazine (US) also gave it a perfect 10/10, citing a "multiplayer quality, quantity, and depth that rivals Halo's" and a "campaign that never lets up," with the only flaw being that there are a few frustratingly tough areas on higher difficulties. IGN has given Call of Duty 4 a score of 9.4 for all three of its platforms. . Currently, Call of Duty 4 for the Xbox 360 holds an aggregate score of 95% on Gamerankings, while the PC version holds a score of 85%. (wikipedia) . GAMETRAILERS REVIEW -- 9.4 .

. STORYLINE . Before Adam and Eve were created, God fashioned the Firstborn. Neither light nor dark, both terrible and beautiful to behold, it disturbed the Almighty who banished this flawed creation into the Abyss. There, it waited and watched until it was able to reach out with its power into our world. Seven Sumerian priests met its arrival and fought to contain it, successfully entombing the place of its escape within a great ziggurat. Ever since that time, there would always be a secret order that would train seven warriors to await the Firstborn's attempts to escape. They would always disappear into the ruined city of Al Khalid that had been built atop this bedrock of strife and somehow succeed in banishing the Firstborn back to the Abyss. However, none of these teams have ever returned from their Mission. .
The Firstborn would make four attempts to escape, each time taking back a piece of the earth to add to its domain. Fragments of time and space would form layers around Al Khalid, entrapping pieces of history within its walls from the time of the ancient Sumerians to World War II. Over time, other conquerors would arrive to claim the city as their own but eventually, the city was forgotten and buried by the sands around it. . The Department of Occult Warfare was created in the 1930s to combat the unexplained and meet Nazi Germany's own research into the paranormal. One of their most brilliant members, Arnold Leach, was recruited in 1962. However, his unscrupulous behavior and nature would eventually have him expelled. He was marked for assassination, and although the operation appeared to be successful, it seems he may have survived.
