As I'm sure you already know Koi will grow quite large, well over a foot long so it is important to know that you will need a good sized Koi aquarium if you wish to keep them inside.

It may interest you to know that there are some reasons why you shouldn't keep Koi indoors in an aquarium.

So the first reason that you may already know about is that Koi can thrash about sometimes so this is not going to be good if they are in an aquarium.

Secondly its nicer to have more than one Koi together which you cant really do in an aquarium. The most you should have per 150 gallon tank is one to two fish at the very most.

Thirdly it may interest you to know that in the outdoors Koi can often times try to leap out of the water so obviously if your Koi is in a Koi aquarium then its not going to be able to do this so you will need a very good lid.

If you still think it's a good idea to keep Koi indoors then you don't want to keep more than 2 koi in a 150 gallon tank.

When it comes to price from my knowledge of Koi aquarium you could expect to pay around $1-$2 per gallon for a second hand aquarium and around $2-$3 for a new tank.

But again that's around $600 and at most you should keep two Koi in there so you really need to think about whether it's a good idea or not.

So to conclude it's not a great idea to keep Koi indoors in a Koi aquarium but it can be done. Make your decision wisely.
