Linzer Tart Hearts
Serve up a plateful of these dainty desserts for a fantastic Valentine’s Day treat.
Prep time: 40 min.
Baking time: 25 min.
Decoration time: 10 min.
Difficulty: Easy
What you'll need:
1 bag DOVE® BRAND Milk Chocolate Miniatures
1 roll (16.5 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1/2 cup ground hazelnuts
3 tablespoons flour
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
8-inch heart-shaped tart pan
Cookie sheet
Parchment paper
Various sizes heart-shaped cookie cutters
What to do:
In a mixing bowl, knead cookie dough, hazelnuts, flour and cinnamon until smooth. Chill dough in refrigerator for 20 minutes.
Press two-thirds of dough into bottom and 3/4-inch up sides of a parchment lined heart-shaped baking pan. Roll remaining dough until 1/4 inch thick. Cut into various size heart shapes. Transfer heart shapes to a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated 350-degree oven until golden brown, 8 to 12 minutes for cookies and 20 to 25 minutes for tart pan.
Remove from oven and cover tart base with DOVE® BRAND Milk Chocolate Miniatures while hot. After 5 minutes, spread chocolates around tart’s bottom crust . Cool completely. Spread jam over chocolate layer. Dust heart cookie shapes with confectioners’ sugar and arrange on top.
