Freecom rolls out the "world's smallest" 2.5-incher

28th July 2008. Freecom introduce the Mobile Drive XXS - the world’s smallest 2.5” USB-2 external hard drive and the latest addition to the mobile storage family. Boasting a massive 27% reduction in size than its closest competitor, the XXS is not just small in design but also the lightest 2.5” external hard drive in the market, weighing in at just 155g. The XXS is small in design but is big on storage, offering up to 320GB of mobile backup.

The Freecom Mobile Drive XXS contains is the worlds 1st native USB interface 2.5” Hard Drive. Covered in a form-fitting rubber sleeve for optimal grip, the native USB removes the requirement for additional heavy casings around the hard drive & bulky components, reducing its overall weight & volume.
