Ginza, saxophone, and me

As I was strolling down a sparkling well-lit street in Ginza, the saxophone sounds stopped my feet. It was 9.30pm, and the shops were now closed.
It's about 1 month till Christmas. The Christmas trees were shining and happy couples were joyfully walking hand in hand, with handfuls of shopping bags. The sound coming from the saxophone suddenly hit me and brought back reality. What was I doing here walking alone in one of the most romantic places?
I sat down on the steps outside a department store despite the early winter cold, and threw myself in the melodies. All I think of was the special someone, all at once becoming so close yet so far. I bought the couple's CD for Yen2000. That was my only purchase for a very long time lately.
