A Start

Well, it looks like I've actually set aside my loyalty to Apple and ditched Safari in favour of Opera. It's never easy finding your way around a new system, but I must admit to being highly impressed with the speed that Opera offers as a Web browser. As for the rest of it, when I'm still finding my way around. There are some annoying thing is that I keep finding, such as the spellchecker on this blog post system that I'm using which doesn't seem to be able to appreciate English but only the crude American version of English. But perhaps I will find that there's a button I can push buried deep within the system somewhere that allows me to write English without insisting that "favour" shouldn't have an "o" in it, or any number of words that end in "ise" such as "legitimise" without insistingthat it should be spelt with a "z" (and that is pronounced zed not zee!) arrrgh!
Anyhow, there looked to be some interesting systems for communicating with people on Opera, and with sharing files, etc, but my head has had enough of looking around the page and trying to work things out that don't appear immediately obvious, so from now I'm going back to Apple and open my iTunes and lets my head relax with some rock music.
