Vietnam's fine performance in the AFF Suzuki Cup championship continued on Wednesday when they defeated favourites Thailand 2-1 in Bangkok in the first leg of the final.
Vietnam held on for a shock 2-1 win and head back to Hanoi for the return leg on December 28.
