A blog, I've never really kept up with one of these. Heh, don't be surprised to see this as the only entry

Today me and my friends got into a discussion who has the better webrowser. They were all for Firefox. Psh, mainstream. Opera's where its at, I had to link it to them to understand. The Opera homepage was about Opera Mini - over the years I had completely forgot. I promptly downloaded it on my Blackberry.
I've been messing with that and My Opera in general today.
Opera Mini loads pages quite fast and does a decent job of things and has a refreshing User Interface from the default Blackberry Browser. The Opera link adds a nice touch. However it does have a few qualms that make me unsure about making it my main phone browser. They aren't big issues, but I haven't figured out how to fix em. You can't seem to add to the list of search engines, so for all intents and purposes you're stuck with Google. I like using Yahoo. One other issue for me is not being able to name items before downloading. The times I've downloaded videos using Opera Mini I've forgotten to go change the name once its downloaded and have videos in my list with something like "54632156" and I'm hard pressed to remember or make a new one that fits the description.
I learned all sorts of cool stuff about My Opera today. I never knew I could listen to all my (DRM-Free) music thru Opera Unite or share files. Not sure if its just over the local network or the internet too. That sure would be nice when I'm bored at someone's house with nothin to do.
So today, Opera is still my preferred webrowser - since 2006. Reconnected with my old Opera account I made in May 2007 I totally forgot about. Learned about all sorts of cool stuff I can do with opera I intend to make use of. And downloaded Opera Mini on my Blackberry that I'm going to keep around.
That's it for this installment, untill next time in A Day in the Life of Jimmy.
Take care,
-Jimmy
