About me

I'm living in Sundowner, Randburg (near the Dome) and working in Parktown West in Johannesburg. I am single, no boyfriend at the moment and no children or even pets :( One day, when I grow up, I will get a dog and if I can keep it in good health, then maybe I can consider kids.

I'm currently finishing my B-Tech degree in industrial Engineering at the University of Joburg, part-time. So with work and studies, it can get quite hectic. I have one more subject this semester, and then should be finished by the end of the year.

After school, I went to Pretoria University to start my studies. Unfortunately, I didn't finish then but went off to the UK for 4 years. I spent time there living on a farm in Essex, working in a pub in Sussex, then working for Railtrack (now Network Rail) in Euston, London. I finally ended up working for Islington Council in London for my last 2 years.

I lived in various places in London: Leyton, Bayswater, Limehouse and Islington (walking to work - fantastic!).

I came back to South Africa in 2004 to finish my studies, and then started my current job in September 2004.

My work

I work for an Engineering Consultancy, as a Traffic & Transportation Engineer. In short, I deal with intersections, roads, public transport, parking, vehicles accesses, traffic signals etc. etc. And no, sadly, I can't do anything right now about that traffic jam between your home and work! In the long term, hopefully I will be able to contribute towards making it better, but that's all I can promise for now!
