Getting back in shape

I am officially on my way to getting back into decent shape. I joined the "Y" yesterday and went for a quick workout prior to my run today and I'm gonna do the same tomorrow. So if any of you are around this summer and want to either workout or go for a run then let me know b/c I always like the company. Today's run was good mainly for the fact that we saw some white-tail deer running through the woods and splashing through the creek just to the right of us, this is exactly why trail running beats street running any day of the week (even muddy trails are fun b/c you're so disgusting afterwards that you feel like you accomplished something, brings me back to my baseball days). Yesterday when I ran on my own I noticed that I still had my running instincts, which if you are unfamiliar with them this is what I used to do in races to try and kill the other runners. First always accelerate uphill, not many people will stick with you if you keep doing that and you get up the hill a lot faster so it's easier. Second when you catch your 2nd or 3rd or whatever wind or when you are close to the finish, always pick up the pace and try and drop people as you go. I just noticed myself doing that yesterday subconsciously so it's good that if I wanted to get back into racing then I would still have some sort of a chance.

No other random stories today. Finished one book already, it was called "Derailed" and I think it might have been made into a movie but I'm not positive, I enjoyed it anyways so I'm happy with it. Oh and no more of these anonymous comments please, I like to know who is writing the comments, even though this last anonymous one wasn't hard to figure out who it was from, let's call her a Kate T., no wait that's too obvious, we'll call her K. Todd. Ya so if you leave a comment I expect a name put on it or else you will face the wrath of my cat and her new friends.
