Brian the surgeon

So today I showed up at the clinic and there was a note saying that the students had to perform a neuter and tail amputation on a cat. Now I'd never done either one but I figured a neuter was simple enough but the tail amputation sounded a little scary. But let me tell you, it's not, I think I finished it faster than I did the neuter (stupid tunic was stuck on that teste). Anyways, I was very proud of myself for performing a surgery when I really knew very little about what I was doing.

I think I found my case for my case report last week but after today it's not as interesting as I first thought. At first it looked like Malignant Catarrhal Fever but now I'm not so sure. It may be a case of IBR that is just presenting weird. I guess AHL is going to have to give me the answer and they'll need to do it on blood or serum b/c it doesn't look like this cow is going to die anytime soon.

Now I must apologize to all of you non-vet student readers of my blog b/c I really don't have anything non-vet related to talk about. You can just pretend you know what I'm talking about or just ask me if you're interested. I'll try and make my next post more user friendly for everyone.
