Volleyball and small animal confidence

Well I guess it's been awhile since I posted. I will quickly update you on my life from then to now, I worked a lot, was sick a second time and basically stayed in bed those two days, watched some good soccer (and lots of bad acting, wimpy soccer players), got disappointed by the oilers, ummm I'm sure there's more but that sums it up pretty nice.

Anyways, for the vet people out there. Today was a good day, I felt the prostate on a dog today (yes rectally, disgusting for the rest of you but cool for me). And with the help of Jeff we got the 4 differentials for an enlarged prostate (hyperplasia, tumour, cyst, inflammation) and then got the one that we thought it was (hyperplasia) and remembered the treatment (cut the balls out). So if that wasn't a big enough confidence boost, earlier in the day I diagnosed a cat with hepatic lipidosis based soley on clinical signs and history (we never found out the initial problem b/c the owner wouldn't spend money on diagnostics, dang owners). All-in-all it was a good way that way. Oh and expressed anal glands on 3 different dogs (good fun was had by all).

Now for the rest of you who were completely disgusted by that last paragraph. Started up my beach volleyball league tonight. My team consists of 3 guys and 3 girls (one of the girls being Mer who showed up in scrubs, yup it was quite the comic relief to see someone diving around in the sand wearing green scrubs). We won all 4 of our games tonight, so it was a good start to the season. I'll keep you all updated as the season progresses. Until then I bid you good night and such.
