Wedding bash

Alright, so in the past little while I've been to a bbq in Listowel and my older brother has gotten married. I'll start with the bbq. Before we went we of course had to play a round of golf and I will describe my greatest hole ever. Par 5, I hit a perfect drive up the left side of the fairway. Then I hit a 5-wood that landed just in front of the green giving me a chip left for eagle. I chipped it on and it looked to be perfect line and perfect weight until it broke slightly at the last second and rested a couple inches from the cup so I tapped in for birdie (so close to my first eagle ever). As for the bbq, it was awesome. I drank a lot, went through a painful 15 min song and dance (literally) with Jeff and Laine. Then Jeff and I kicked ass with our poem and our student survival kit (the mood masks and multi-purpose student cone were the biggest hits). Good times, good times.
Saturday was my bro's wedding, I was technically the best man (had to give a speech, handle the rings, etc) but was just called an usher. Here are the highlights (I will leave the best for last). First I forgot to take the rings out of their boxes before the ceremony so I struggled a little with them when they were asked for but it was amusing for everyone and I'm sure broke some of the nervousness that my bro and his new wife were feeling (I'm good for that kind of thing). I opened up the bar, everyone was drinking punch then I showed up and had a beer and after that it seemed everyone wanted drinks, I'm quite the trend starter. My speech went decent, got a few laughs, I wish I had a few more good stories but what can you do. Danced way too much, I think at one point I danced for about 1.5 hours straight ("Home for a rest" being the best song of course). Finally the best part. I find out about 15 mins before the wedding party is introduced that we will go in separately and we will each be introduced to music that was chosen by the bride. I have no idea what my song is until a minute before I go in, the DJ tells me I'm going in 2nd and that my music is....... "Eye of the Tiger"!!!!! This is the perfect song for me and I got super excited when he told me this. Now the moment, the MC introduces me and the double doors fly open, I can hear the start of the music but if you know eye of the tiger it starts of really quiet for the first few seconds so I just stand there with my head down rubbing my hands together until I hear the first "da....da da da....da da da...". As soon as I hear that I perk up and start jogging in, punching like a boxer, I get to the dance floor and drop to do a few push-ups and sit-ups, get up and again jog over to my chair. Let's just say it was a tough act to follow. Everyone was super impressed by my entrance especially once they heard I only had a couple minutes to prepare. Let's just hope my next wedding experience in a month will be just as good (this time I'm just an observer so there's less pressure on me to screw it up p).
