June 2010 can be described in one word: football (or soccer, depending on where you grew up).

The FIFA World Cup is here and it's being held in the rainbow nation, South Africa. As proven during the 2002 World Cup, Korea has a tremendous love of football.

This year, Korea has achieved its seventh consecutive World Cup appearance and has made it into its first away tournament round of 16.



Korea's lively fans, widely known as the "Red Devils," has always brought extra excitement to the games and this time once again the fever has spread throughout the nation as well as the world.

Korea's enthusiastic cheering, added to the much improved football skills of Korean players, will give more hope to Korea winning the hosting rights for the 2022 World Cup.
