CJ Entertainment is set to go global with plans to produce three 3D films with Hollywood’s 1492 Pictures over the next few years.

The Korean entertainment giant signed a partnership deal last November with the production company, which is known for the first two installments of the ``Harry Potter’’ series. It is represented by ``Home Alone’’ director Chris Columbus and his longtime collaborator-producers Mark Radcliffe and Michael Barnathan.

The contract will allow CJ Entertainment to co-produce works as well as hold distribution and investment rights in Korea, Japan and China for the next three years. It also plans to incorporate local themes, location, cast and crew casting and computer graphics and visual effects models.
