‘Boys in the Rain’ Mixes Dance, Ballet, B-Boy, Hip Hop

he b-boy musical “Boyz in the Rain” will be staged at the Post Theater in Mapo, Seoul from April 16 to 30 following a performance at the Nowon Art Center last weekend.A combination of modern dance, ballet, breakdancing and hip hop, the musical is choreographed by Lee Kwang-seok, a former principal dancer of the dance theater On, and modern dancer Kim Hyung-nam. The b-boy group Gorilla Crew, the original cast of the hit b-boy musical “Ballerina who Loved a B-Boy,” appears.
The show centers around a dancer in his 40s recollecting his experience of first love as a young b-boy with a girl who wanted to be a ballerina.
Tickets cost 33,000 won for adults and 26,400 for students.
