Seaweed Soup
Miyeokguk is a soup boiled with soaked brown seaweed, shredded beef and soy sauce seasoning. From olden days, miyeokguk was served without fail to women after childbirth, or for birthdays because miyeok (brown seaweed) is believed to ease swelling by eliminating waste and salt from the body.
