Singularity

Kirill’s Operata

Artistin

This morning put me in good spirits. Sun and warmth, everything I like. Helped to a girl from the artist college to bring her painter’s case: young and too slender, she had this one, a canvas and a bag, and she was so thankful for what I had done—so pleasant and nice...
Such moments fill my heart with a feeling that everything is light and easy. And I want to smile.

As usually, Michael Jackson

Lechy 2. August 2009, 05:56

Kuya? Are u from the philippines?

Kirill 2. August 2009, 08:26

Lechylon, no, I am from Russia, but I love Philippines, the Tagalog languages, and I have a great friend from Manila.

Lechy 2. August 2009, 09:55

Ah. Nice meeting u! So, u know some of our words?

Kirill 2. August 2009, 10:08

Salamat!
Oo, makaalam ko ng konting salita :smile:
Kundi, ewan ko ng Tagalog... Kundi gusto ko ’to!

Lechy 2. August 2009, 10:13

Hehe. The first line I understand, the second and third, I don't get it.

Kirill 2. August 2009, 10:17

oh... i tried to say:

thank you!
yes, i know some words.
but, i don’t know tagalog... but i want to!

was there so many mistakes? how could I say that right?

Lechy 2. August 2009, 10:30

Ah. This way makes sense:
Salamat. May alam akong konting salita. Pero hindi ko alam ang tagalog pero gusto kong matuto.

Your kundi should be pero.
You don't know Tagalog? But you are already writing it. your wording is Tagalog na.

Kirill 2. August 2009, 10:50

Oh, I see. I am at the start point of its studying :smile:
Maraming salamat!

Kirill 2. August 2009, 10:56

May alam = ?
hindi = ?
matuto = ?
can you explain those words and their using?

Lechy 2. August 2009, 11:06

May = have, alam = know. so may alam= have knowledge.
Hindi= no, don't
matuto= to learn, to know.

I can help u out with ur studying if u have questions. :smile:
you can be good at it.

Kirill 2. August 2009, 11:12

Salamat, kaibigan ko!
I will take your lessons with pleasure. Short phrases you can write in Tagalog, I will try to understand those ;-)
Now are you living in Philippines? I have seen your photos, those are excellent and very beautiful.

Lechy 2. August 2009, 13:48

Amazing! You are really typing in Tagalog. Your great friend may be really good at teaching you.
Thank you. Yes, I live in Pilipinas ever since I was born. If you like beaches, you will certainly love it. have u been here already?

Kirill 2. August 2009, 14:04

It’s a pitty, but never :-)
I am just dreaming about it.
Maganda ang Pilipino ;-)

Lechy 2. August 2009, 14:14

Oh. You should see the Philippines.

Talaga? Maganda ang Pilipino? Hehe. Maybe because they said we are exotic-looking, not erotic ha.

Kirill 2. August 2009, 14:37

Both exotic and erotic, trust me)))) LOL

Lechy 2. August 2009, 14:50

Lolz.
How bout your country? I heard great scholars are born there.

Kirill 2. August 2009, 15:12

Yes, a lot.
You know, I am a linguist. I love my country, but I love foreign languages and countries as well.
How about you? Are you working/studying? What’s the style of your life?
My name is Kirill (friends from your country, Japan and Viet Name call me Kiri), what is your one?

Lechy 2. August 2009, 22:58

Good morning!
You are a linguist?! Cool. I, too, have taken some linguistic courses in college and I like it. I was able to study basic Japanese and the Philippine languages (there are many variations to our language).
I graduated last year and I am now working as a teacher but my degree is in statistics.

I prefer Kiril. Kiri sounds different in our language. Well, you can call me Lechy.
