bean burgers
I made my favourite bean burgers for the first time in the new flat today. I love how easy they are to make, and how I always seem to have all the ingredients for them in my cupboard

Everything is all mixed together in a bowl, then squashed into six little burgers. They are brushed with a little oil before being grilled for a few minutes on each side.
I like to put them into toasted wholemeal pitta breads with some salad leaves and some lime juice flavoured greek yogurt (or ketchup if i'm feeling lazy!).
I have blogged the recipe for these before, and so I will add a link for anyone who light like to make them too

I also forgot to add the chilli today, but found that they taste just as lovely without the spice!

bean burgers
Last night I made bean burgers for tea. They are really easy to make, and it seems that meat eaters also like them!

This is what's in them...(the vegemite just gives the burgers a subtle flavour, and helps to stick it all together)
1 onion (chopped), 1 garlic (crushed), chilli flakes, 1 can kidney beans (drained and mashed up a bit), 1 carrot (grated), 75g rolled oats, 1tbsp vegemite, quarter tsp of basil (or fresh basil)
prepare ingredients...
cook onions and garlic until golden
stir everything together
form into 6 burgers
after being grilled at high heat for 3 minutes each side
(heat up wholemeal pitta bread)
serve with lime juice flavoured greek yogurt
...or tomato ketchup or mayonaise, if you can't be bothered to make that
I also had some lovely crispy patatas bravas made for me, with a spicy tomato sauce
