sweet nothings...

janssons temptation

I made this last night after having a rummage through my folder of many un-tried recipes, collected from years of cookery magazines. I have always thought that this sounded nice and have been meaning to try it for years now.

I love potato gratins, so I thought I would give this a go. I have been told that it is something scandinavians only usually have on special occasions, but I like to try making something first to see if it works (and it did!) I love how simple it is, with only five ingredients.

The anchovies seem to dissapear into the potatoes, onions and cream and give it such a lovely flavour. The bread crumb crust works really well too, giving it all a bit of crunch. I would definitely make this again! (but not too often, as it uses a whole carton of double cream!!) :eyes:
