Billion tree Campaign

What if instead of giving flowers on Valentine's day, you plant a tree for your beloved one.

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has launched in January 2007 a major worldwide tree planting campaign. Under the Plant for the Planet: Billion Tree Campaign, people, communities, business and industry, civil society organizations and governments are encouraged to enter tree planting pledges online with the objective of planting at least one billion trees worldwide during 2007. Their website is: www.unep.org/billiontreecampaign. They also show how to plant trees, and help you choose the right type of tree.

If you still don't know what to plant, check the
