OK!,
After my macabre(and rather mediocre if i must say so myself) posting about an imaginary suicide note,i would like to type(and feel) out some totally pointless thoughts i've been having.One last thing though-i saw district 9 recently and it just brought home the total pointlessness of suicide.i for one really admire how the primary protagonist refuses to give up until the end.Anyhow, fook that. Let's get down to business.
First:
i recently read this book called The Final Empire(1st book of the mistborn trilogy) where ppl can swallow metals and "burn"(author's usage not mine) various metals,correspondingly giving them various strengths like enhanced senses, the ability to push and pull on metals etc,etc(read the book i'm not telling you everything).Well, coming to the point, the only reason i read the book,besides the insanely cool concept was that it was advertised as an "evil wins the day" book.Like what would happen if the good guy lost?. Well, i thought it would be brilliant to finally have a new take on the whole thing rite? Yeah, you'd think so but in the end it isnt about the villian at all.Itz about how(a 1000yrs after the aforementioned loss) an underdog(kelsier) rises up with his band of buddies and trusty protagonist in the making(it is a trilogy after all) and defeats the god-like person who calls himself the lord ruler(talk about cheesy).Well, as i know, i just love a good underdog story...
