About me
An American in Oslo, don't let the Norwegian name fool you. My wife's family is from Hardanger. My work
Systems and Usability tester at Opera Software.Fast facts
- At the movies I like to see:Anything by Pixar. What will happen now after Disney bought them? (they used to make movies _for_ Disney, which is different)
- Last movie seen:Lady in the water, by M. Night Shamalama-ding-dong (that's what I call him).
- Music I listen to:Phil Keaggy, Rich Mullins, Christian Music when it's Art first and Christian second. Occasionally classical/mellow stuff too.
- Best album right now:Edward Greig. That's who we're learning about in Norwegian class right now.
- Favorite author:C.S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Donald Norman
- Last book read:Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, downloaded off project gutenberg and transfered to my mobile phone.
- Best game right now:Blastminer. Puzzles using physics, and explosions! Get the gold brick into the chute using tnt, petrol, sparks, etc.
- Software I use:Opera, Bit Comet, Media Player Classic, Vim
- Hardware I use:PC, Mac, SGI Indy (yes, really!)
- If I won 1 million dollars, I would:Pay off the mortgage on our apartment, then invest the rest so we can travel several times a year.
- If I were a super hero I would:Be in the TV serires "Heroes" probably.
- Favorite travel destination:"Home" to Washington Island, Wisconsin, USA
- On my vacation I..:Try to relax and not plan too much.
- Favorite sports team:Sports? What's that?
- I'm passionate about:Usability, customization, learning, problem solving (problems like, "it takes too long to scrub yourself in the shower. I need a machine like they have in car washes. The ones with the spinning brushes.")
- Food I like:Coconut curry fish. Find some fish curry paste, mix 1 to 2 tsp with a can of coconut milk. Toss in mushrooms, zucchini and broccoli, etc. Press a pepper spice mix into the fish and some salt, and sear in hot oil (30 sec a side). Simmer all 10 min. Mmmmm.
- I don't like:Black licorice
