"Lord, beer me strength" --Jim

4tf?

, ,

Something very weird just occured.

Opera crashed (this is not the weird bit --they all crash--, it's merely annoying --merely, because thanks to the ability to open the last saved session, it's just a matter of being patient to find your opera right in the state it left you).

What is odd is that I had downloaded a .ogg file in the afternoon and that I was playing it with VLC, from my "Temporary downloads" folder, where all my (opera) downloads go. The .ogg file is no longer in the folder. The .ogg file has totally disappeared, in fact.

I'd like to download it again, and oddly enough, I can't find the URI in the history.

Do you have the build number (from opera:about or the About Opera option in the Opera menu)? It makes it easier to file a bug...

I have a very repeatable Opera crash scenerio when saving a file. Did it crash on you as you clicked the "Save button" in the Save Dialog Box?
It'll crash if you have lots of files in the directory that you're saving to and you click "Save" before all those file have had a chance to display (initialize themselves properly) in the file pane.

Chaals, the build number is 3620. I did not intend to file a bug report because I respect Opera when it decides to flush the recent content of its own Temporary Downloads folder ;) I think I'm just not supposed to make any other use of this folder than a temporary one.

Zool, no, it didn't crash upon saving. I never experienced the crash scenario you describe.
