Around the World in Eighty Dishes

Yesterday I grilled some Polish Krakauer (Cracovian sausage) with some Belgian beer. Then some old, dry Jamaican rhum with hint of Italian supersweet peanut liqueur.

Today I continued with Italian pesto and parmiggiano reggiano, Iberian Jamon ham and French baguette. Later a bit grilled Finnish pork & chicken and Egyptian dukkah with grilled Lebanese Halloumi and Greek feta sallad. Sauce was of course made of Bolivian, Mexican and Ecuadorian Chilis (well, those chilis were grown by me, but from original south-American seeds). Then a bit vanilla ice-cream mixed with hint of lime and Rawit chilis from Thailand and Indonesia.

Thank God for globalization!

Maybe I should try someday making solely Finnish BBQ menu using only Finnish ingredients; game, spelt, yellow turnips, birch sap, honey, mushrooms and berries. And some sahti and vodka. That would be interesting. Very interesting.
