Regarding my lost post, I contacted my University's department that is in charge of running the service and I asked them if they were interested in supporting Opera in the future?

This is what I sent to them:

I was inquiring if there is possible support for the Opera Web Browser in the future for Carmen?

and here was the response:

Unfortunately we have no plans to support opera in the future however we do currently support Safari web browser. If you have any further questions please let us know.

I think I should have specified more that I am a linux user.
